When to fish Buffalo
Lake Erie smallmouth bass fishing is world-class from June through October, with the eastern basin off Buffalo and Sturgeon Point giving up huge numbers of three-to-five-pound fish. Walleye fishing on Erie is strongest in summer, and the yellow perch run fills the fall.
